This team earned District and Regional Championships while setting a then-school- record 20 wins, 25 games played and 1,269 points scored in one season. Coached by Bob Eidson and assisted by Robin Bye, the team went on to the State Quarterfinals, where they did lose to the eventual State Champion, Flint Northern. All five starters—Stacy Martin, Lisa Nelson Wills, Lisa Rogers, Cathy Gutierrez Van Dyke, and Jennifer Weideman Jomard—were recognized with statewide post-season honors by the Detroit newspapers.

Seniors Lisa Rogers, Lisa Nelson, Stacy Martin, Michelle Grashuis and Kris Macleod; Juniors Jennifer Weideman, Wendy Lacy, Kim Stamm, Cathy Gutierrez, Melissa Grashuis, Lisa Purcell, Kim Urbanik and Mary Zillins; Sophomore Kathy Miller.
